Calici and Centrepoint Run Report 5/1/2025

This run is generally considered to be one of the highlight events of the year.  11 other Hares would disagree, but 22 rusted-on members turned up at Whale Beach to support the first run of 2025.

As usual, Centrepoint turned over his holiday house to the throng, who I must say, were very well behaved during the afternoon. Maybe still getting over NYE hangovers?

Calici set the run, which followed a generally familiar pattern with some new bits of bush and the odd hill. 4klm, which was long enough in the summer sun and took the main pack around an hour.

A circle was called and we have a new GM, Bren Gun, who required a few pointers on procedure (how has he dodged being on a Hash committee for 40 years??) so was assisted by Music Man who was only too happy to help. I think he wants to be GM next year.

Down downs for the Hares, with a credible score of 9.3 given by Jungle for the walkers and Phantom also gave a runners report with 9.5.  The views and local lizards sunning themselves could have even upped the score.

Crum charged Siberia and Three Swigs for not wearing Hash Gear and they were given downs downs by the RA. Again to Three Swigs and Kitty for ignoring the run and going completely in the opposite direction.

Nosh was great, Burgers with salad and plenty to drink. (edit: especially good Sparkling Shiraz).

A very pleasant afternoon in a splendid location.
